Hello, my name is Ericson Reduta and my callsign is KO6MYK. I got my Technician on March 24, 2026 and passed my General on May 2, 2026. It has been an awesome ride so far. I picked up a few mobile radios: Yaesu FT-891, FTM-300D and FT-90R. HT’s: Yaesu VX6R, VX5R, FT70DR. And recently, a set of Tidradio TD-H3’s, and a pair of TD-H9 radios. Antennas: Spooltenna EFHW, Chameleon 25ft whip with carbon tripod, HF Hamsticks and a few dual band J-poles.
I joined a couple of ham clubs in my area: Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club (MDARC) and Delta Amateur Radio Club (DARC). Both clubs are very active in the Eastern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area. Since joining these clubs, you can find me on various weekly nets, hunting and activating POTA, and making QSO’s on various special events: Museum Ships on the Air, Lewis and Clark Trail on the Air, 13 Colonies and Route 66 On the Air.
Please join me on my journey into ham radio.
